We tragically lost our rescues guardian, Hazey. The best farm protector you could ask for. She most kind, quiet dog. She kept all the equines in line and would separate bickering horses. She protected our chickens and smaller critters from coyotes and other predators. She was teaching Arlo all there is to know about running a farm. She had the most precious slow walk over to you with a big wagging tail. She never asked for attention or affection but did enjoy a pet every now and then. She was a very content independent dog. We are all heart broken over this tragic loss. Please keep Alex and Shep in your prayers , they found her laying on the side of the highway right outside our gate entrance. Our property is perimeter fenced, we believe she followed a vehicle out of the front gate. Our gate shuts so quickly behind you though.. We never saw this happening. We’re all devastated. Especially Arlo. He’s lost without her, she led him and still had alot to teach him. Please pray for us all as we have lost a huge piece of our hearts. Shep and I rescued Hazey at just a few weeks old , panting in a cardboard box outside of tractor supply. I hesitated to bring home a puppy but Shep said “ we have to take her home”. We went to get Hay that day and came home with “hay-zey” . Best decision we ever made. Rest in peace you beautiful girl and please continue protecting our farm from the skies.
