Description
Our sad sweetie was named Lilah but it was too close to Leila (our donkey who just gave birth) and we couldn't keep their similar names straight, so we renamed our sad sweetie, Lady May. Lady was an off the track thoroughbred that wasn't quite fast enough to be tattooed or was not sound enough to continue racing, so she was dumped at auction. She came to us sad and shut down. We got her past her mental hurdles, along with shoes to help her sore feet. She was on stall rest because of swollen stifles but yesterday got the all clear for exercise.

This poor horse.. EPM completely took her mind from her. We fought hard to get most of her balance back. But we could not get her over the neurological issues. She was either head down and out of it, or flipping herself over because everything would spook her. We tried multiple treatment routes and nothing helped. She was hurting herself and we could no longer handle her safely because she would randomly flip over. Bless her heart she was such a sweetheart. But she was tired.
