Lefty caught our attention right away because of his eye injury, but he was still the sweetest boy even with his face in so much pain. We didn't even realize that someone had also freshly gelded him until after we purchased him. Traders will do this themselves to try to make the equines sell higher, as a lot of people don't want to deal with studs or have to put in the expense of castrating them. He had a minor infection brewing from his castration, but his eye was the biggest concern. The video shows how it looked at auction, I thought for sure the eye was injured and would have to be taken out. To all our surprise once our vets cleaned it up his eye was actually not injured at all, just the lid. We were able to stitch it up and they held!! He also was quite sore on his fronts, but after X-rays and shoes, he's now moving totally sound!! Praise Jesus! He's the sweetest young boy and he's begun training here- he'll make someone such a wonderful pony!
