Description
Our new owner surrender Winston, had X-rays today and praise the Lord, they were better than expected! Also, we thought for sure he would need surgery to correct his front right foot, but it looks like his tendons are actually going to be okay without surgery This will be a long road to recovery but he's worth it!!! Other great news.. we were told he was 33 but he's actually only 13! This will make sedation, castration and recovery so much easier for him. Yay for Winston getting a second chance at life. He also lived alone so he's about to have his mind BLOWN at all the friends waiting for him here at SMRR.
Update:
2 months with Mr Winston and I'm so so happy to share how far he's come He beat the odds and overcame some very extreme hoof neglect. Winston now carries a very important job here at Sweet Mercies- he is head coordinator of youth communications. (he is our great example to our feral rescues that don't trust people). He helps them come around much faster than one on one human time. Seeing Winston trust us shows the little timid babes that we're safe I'm so Grateful for Mr Winston coming into our lives and brightening our days. It feels like he's meant to be here and he's found his purpose. We would love to welcome Winston as a permanent member here at SMRR and allow this to be his full time job for the rest of his life. He's so good with the kids and they truly trust him like a big brother. I'm hoping to raise $2,000 to give us a small cushion for expenses for him, as his initial funds are gone. I understand not everyone can donate, a free way to help us is to share this video to your stories & help us reach more people. THANK YOU for making these saves possible.
